- 2+ years of professional experience in banking, financial institutions, consulting or supervisory institutions in some of the following areas (absence of experience in some of the areas stated below is not eliminatory):
- Banking regulation including but not limited to:
- IFRS 9 requirements,
- Basel III / IV, CRR / CRD requirements and reporting,
- ICAAP / ILAAP and Stress testing,
- Recovery and resolution,
- Risk data management,
- Risk quantification,
- Modelling and validation
- ESG integration into risk management and governance.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data science, Engineering, or related studies;
- Ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments;
- Excellent communication skills in English, including report writing and presenting content to varied audiences;
- Other language skills (e.g. German) would be considered as advantage,
- Programming and database skills will be considered as advantage;
- Comfortable with reading and understanding regulations for financial institutions, assessing banking processes, and engaging with client stakeholders;
- International experience will be considered as advantage;
- Relevant professional qualifications: (e.g. CFA, FRM, etc.) will be a considered an additional asset.
- Development and review of banking framework concepts areas stated in the first paragraph,
- Understanding, management and hands-on regarding the data used under the areas stated in the first paragraph,
- Regulatory gap assessments, helping identify misalignments between risk practices and requirements (e.g., CRR/CRD, ICAAP/ILAAP, recovery & resolution, etc.)
- Review and document risk processes, governance frameworks, and control environments
- Contributing to and/or leading the drafting of proposals (including technical proposal/regulatory requirements and planning)
- Contributing to and/or participating in capacity building sessions for clients,
- Work with clients and other relevant units of a bank to mobilize technical and financial support to enhance the environmental and social sustainability of their operations, adding value to operations.
